Our Cultural Expressions Weekly Lunches focus on bringing you together with others and embracing cultural differences. Our groups aim to connect you with the wider community through a variety of activities that focus on helping you meet new friends and sharing experiences in a welcoming and safe environment. Come down and join us for our weekly lunch where you can bring down or cook your favourite dish!
Get your creative juices flowing with our Art and Craft Therapy program. Held in a relaxed social setting, the program will allow you to connect with others, be creative and get hands on. Whether you enjoy louve/ weaving, painting, knitting, scrapbooking or soap making, we have the tools that you need to create. Men, try your hand at charcoal sketching or miniature woodcraft. Learn new skills, have new experiences or share your talents with us over a cup of tea.
Do you know how to send an email or use social media to contact family and friends? Our tech skills program focuses on giving you the confidence to be as tech savvy as a millennial. Increase your independence through a series of practical based workshops. If you want to know how to navigate computers and mobile phones, or connect on social media we can teach you. We supply the computers or you can bring in your own device to let us help you get connected!
Join us on a trip to a distant land with our Armchair Travel Program. Each week we will take you on a sensory journey through film, food and crafts, to take you on a holiday from the comfort of our plush armchairs. Taste cuisine from Morocco whilst we learn of the best tourist destinations or see the sights of Spain whilst joining us for some tapas and Spanish inspired painting. Let us know where you want to go and we will journey together!
Take a moment for yourself and unwind with our guided meditation and relaxation sessions. Aimed at helping you to improve your ability to cope with life stressors, our experienced team will take you on a journey through mindfulness to help you let go and become more present in your day-to-day life. You will leave feeling centred and calmed, and ready to tackle your day.
Take a trip down memory lane with our group reminiscence activities, where together, we will explore our favourite moments and memories. Enjoy a cup of tea whilst making new friends over shared stories of times gone by. Reminiscence provides you with a moment to reminisce on your experiences in a warm and welcoming environment.
